Olivia Bates

Usui Reiki Master practitioner
Karuna Reiki Level II

In the year 2000, a friend mentioned to Olivia that a Reiki class was being taught locally and immediately her hands began to heat up and tingle, thus her Reiki Journey began. It has been a journey of personal transformation, and deeper spiritual understanding. Helping to bring healing change, inner peace and balance to her family and friends has inspired her to bring that same gift to her community. Recent teachings of Karuna Reiki, has deepened her practice and introduced her to advanced complimentary reiki techniques.

Reiki is the gentle Japanese healing art meaning Universal life (Rei) Energy (Ki). It is the energy that flows in all living things. Reiki practice is a passive channeling of the healing energies, where the practitioner will place their hands lightly on or above a client’s fully clothed, prone body in a series of positions to aid in the client’s process of healing and balancing. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose, and Reiki is not controlled by the practitioner, but goes where it is needed within the client.

Marion Bosch

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist

When her son broke his arm, it turned out to be life changing for Marion. A friend suggested to take him to see a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. It helped her son to heal his arm tremendously and she also went to see a practitioner for herself since she also was quite traumatized by the hospital procedures.  She became more and more interested in the work of Craniosacral Therapy and when she went to the intro talk about this type of body work Marion knew that this was the kind of work she wanted to do. She signed up right away for the two-year program to become a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (BCST).  She is very excited about BCST and she loves to treat and help people. She is fascinated by the results this therapy can achieve.
Ever since it had quite an impact on her own life, she became much more sensitive and spiritual. She sees life from a different perspective now and is very happy about the fact that she is doing something with her life: the gift of helping other people. This is the greatest gift for her.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a safe and gentle approach to healing through light touch engaging the cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) with special attention to settling the nervous system and including the whole body. It can take your body from an active state into a calmer state. While receiving a treatment, the client lies fully dressed on a massage table.
It works with our Core, the Core of Our Being. The body might have releases and clients might feel different movements or readjustments in their body. But this is part of the healing process. The whole body expands and contracts in a rhythmic or tidal way and there is an intelligence expressed through the whole body.  The treatments can affect the body physically, emotionally and spiritually and the client can have different reactions to the treatment. The greatest effect will be achieved after a series of treatments which balances the whole body. This body work also calms children down and helps pregnant women and babies. It reaches every-”body” no matter which age group.

You can treat anxiety, arthritis, edema, back and neck pain, depression, fatigue, headaches, migraines, impact injuries, insomnia, low energy, TMJ, stress, post-pregnancy/postpartum difficulties, autism, tinnitus, immune issues, fibromyalgia and much more.

 Natalie Pateman

Osteopathic Manual Therapist, Cranio-Sacral Therapist

Natalie is a U.K. trained, and qualified Osteopathic Manual Therapist and Cranio-Sacral Therapist. She has completed a 4-year full-time course in Osteopathy at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine in London (U.K.) followed by additional courses in Cranial Osteopathy at the Sutherland Cranial College (U.K.), Visceral Manipulation at the Barral Institute, and Equine Osteopathy at the Vluggen Institute for Equine Osteopathy & Education.

During her treatments she place much emphasis on releasing tensions around the organs to help improve gut function. She believes that good nutrition and optimal gut function can help treat many musculoskeletal problems. She is interested in treating people of all ages from infants to the elderly, including those with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, autism or Down’s Syndrome to help improve their quality of life.
As an Osteopathic Manual Therapist she believes that the patient has to be treated as a whole addressing both the physical and physiological ailments, but also bringing the mento-emotional aspect into the picture. Her goal with each patient is to create movement where there is none, whether it is a bone, an organ or fluid. All structures have to move in harmony with each other to create overall health.

Julie Waldock, NLP & Personal Coaching

Julie first trained and practised NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) in the 1990s as a Dean and a lecturer of a college in England , where the discipline was introduced to enhance learning and teaching. As her responsibilities were, among others, to ensure the health and well being of the students, Julie went on to study and hone a skill set of techniques to enable others to live a life of optimism and drive and to get the very most out of life.

Since arriving in Canada, Julie has continued to practise her passion for helping others and for lifelong learning from her office in Canmore, and has developed her professional portfolio to include other levels of NLP, plus complimentary disciplines such as Guided Meditation, Mindfulness, Hypnotherapy , Acupressure and TFT, and more, each one giving an alternative tool to choose from as she works with her clients to help them get ‘unstuck’ from their current situation.

During this time her personal passion for energy and healing led her to continue her Reiki journey here in Canada as both a Usui and Karuna Master.

Julie truly believes this combination has allowed her to live a life of purpose and to ensure that she can offer her clients a empathetic and intuitive service , and to help them achieve fast and lasting results, and live a life of purpose too.
