Olivia Bates

Usui Reiki Master practitioner
Karuna Reiki Level II

In the year 2000, a friend mentioned to Olivia that a Reiki class was being taught locally and immediately her hands began to heat up and tingle, thus her Reiki Journey began. It has been a journey of personal transformation, and deeper spiritual understanding. Helping to bring healing change, inner peace and balance to her family and friends has inspired her to bring that same gift to her community. Recent teachings of Karuna Reiki, has deepened her practice and introduced her to advanced complimentary reiki techniques.

Reiki is the gentle Japanese healing art meaning Universal life (Rei) Energy (Ki). It is the energy that flows in all living things. Reiki practice is a passive channeling of the healing energies, where the practitioner will place their hands lightly on or above a client’s fully clothed, prone body in a series of positions to aid in the client’s process of healing and balancing. Reiki practitioners do not diagnose, and Reiki is not controlled by the practitioner, but goes where it is needed within the client.

Colton Hertzig

Certified Hypnotherapist, Master Hypnotist, BA/Metaphysics, Reiki Master, Animal Communicator, Farrier

Through the combination of Colton’s training and natural skills and abilities, his goal is to improve the quality of life to animals and humans. He creates a safe, comfortable environment to facilitate healing on all levels – mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Colton uses hypnotherapy to help allow you overcome internal conflicts that can result in physical symptoms. This meditation-like therapy can help you clearly see what you are subconsciously dealing with and help you overcome it. People often use this therapy to help quit smoking, lose weight or to gain confidence. Hypnosis – a relaxed state of consciousness that can help allow you to recover suppressed memories or allow modifications of unwanted behaviour, is used in the hypnotherapy sessions. Colton has also found that it is a great addition to his reiki sessions.

Colton also works with animals through Body Talk Access for Animals – a therapy that can help address behaviour issues in animals. These issues are usually caused by stress or other health concerns. This treatment enhances the mind-body connection which allows the animal to heal more naturally not only mentally, but emotionally, physically and spiritually. Combined with his training with Martha Birkett in Linking Awareness, Colton is able to connect with different animals and help sort out any issues that animal and owner are having. Recently, he has started offering therapy sessions to horse and rider – this allows the rider to better connect with their horse, and overcome any mental or physical obstacles that are blocking their progress.

Vanessa Kary

Usui Reiki Master practitioner, Certified Angel Card Reader TM

Vanessa is a Usui Reiki Master and provides a variety of healing services for both humans and animals. She received her training from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta and just recently relocated to Cochrane. She hopes to empower others by helping them understand that emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances will eventually manifest into physical symptoms which are directly correlated to the energy centers (or chakras) of the body. The health of our physical body is in direct reflection to the health of our energy body. When we’re experiencing physical issues, it’s because our body is communicating the emotional, mental and spiritual dis-ease that we have neglected to observe within ourselves. A Reiki Healing Session is one of the most effective ways to clear imbalanced chakras.

Vanessa is a Certified Angel Card ReaderTM and uses Tarot, Oracle, and Lenormand cards to provide a variety of readings. With a Tarot Reading, you’ll gain insight, clarity, and guidance into your specific situation. This allows you to achieve greater control over issues involving relationships, opportunities, and life changes. By objectively understanding your situation and learning the best way to move forward, you’re able to create your absolute best future. It’s a wonderful tool for personal development and spiritual growth.

Vanessa is also an artist. She communicates her thoughts, feelings, and emotions through movement and color. Vanessa’s paintings are inspired by her personal life experiences and realized through her abstract expressionist style. She’s a free spirit with a passion to express her inner voice. Being vulnerable allows her to expose her truth, and hopes to help others do the same. She’s on a journey, trusting her unique creative process by using her inner guidance.

Vanessa is continuously studying all things Metaphysical including Energy, Angels, Reiki, Chakras, Crystals, Tarot, Lenormand, Runes, Astrology, and Numerology. Her personal mission is to help others help themselves. By providing them with knowledge through healing and guidance, they’ll become empowered, gain greater clarity, and become aware of their true divine potential. When they are aware of their own thoughts, emotions, and intentions, they will realize that they have created their own reality. We are all born with intuition which connects us directly to God/Source/Spirit. When we are aware that we have the answers within ourselves, we become confident in knowing that we don’t need to look outside ourselves for guidance, clarification or validation from others. By educating my clients on their divine connection to the Universe, this will allow them to manifest a meaningful life filled with happiness, joy, love, passion, and purpose. When my clients no longer need me, then I’ve done my job.

Marion Bosch

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist

When her son broke his arm, it turned out to be life changing for Marion. A friend suggested to take him to see a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist. It helped her son to heal his arm tremendously and she also went to see a practitioner for herself since she also was quite traumatized by the hospital procedures.  She became more and more interested in the work of Craniosacral Therapy and when she went to the intro talk about this type of body work Marion knew that this was the kind of work she wanted to do. She signed up right away for the two-year program to become a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (BCST).  She is very excited about BCST and she loves to treat and help people. She is fascinated by the results this therapy can achieve.
Ever since it had quite an impact on her own life, she became much more sensitive and spiritual. She sees life from a different perspective now and is very happy about the fact that she is doing something with her life: the gift of helping other people. This is the greatest gift for her.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a safe and gentle approach to healing through light touch engaging the cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) with special attention to settling the nervous system and including the whole body. It can take your body from an active state into a calmer state. While receiving a treatment, the client lies fully dressed on a massage table.
It works with our Core, the Core of Our Being. The body might have releases and clients might feel different movements or readjustments in their body. But this is part of the healing process. The whole body expands and contracts in a rhythmic or tidal way and there is an intelligence expressed through the whole body.  The treatments can affect the body physically, emotionally and spiritually and the client can have different reactions to the treatment. The greatest effect will be achieved after a series of treatments which balances the whole body. This body work also calms children down and helps pregnant women and babies. It reaches every-”body” no matter which age group.

You can treat anxiety, arthritis, edema, back and neck pain, depression, fatigue, headaches, migraines, impact injuries, insomnia, low energy, TMJ, stress, post-pregnancy/postpartum difficulties, autism, tinnitus, immune issues, fibromyalgia and much more.

Julie Waldock, NLP & Personal Coaching

Julie first trained and practised NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) in the 1990s as a Dean and a lecturer of a college in England , where the discipline was introduced to enhance learning and teaching. As her responsibilities were, among others, to ensure the health and well being of the students, Julie went on to study and hone a skill set of techniques to enable others to live a life of optimism and drive and to get the very most out of life.

Since arriving in Canada, Julie has continued to practise her passion for helping others and for lifelong learning from her office in Canmore, and has developed her professional portfolio to include other levels of NLP, plus complimentary disciplines such as Guided Meditation, Mindfulness, Hypnotherapy , Acupressure and TFT, and more, each one giving an alternative tool to choose from as she works with her clients to help them get ‘unstuck’ from their current situation.

During this time her personal passion for energy and healing led her to continue her Reiki journey here in Canada as both a Usui and Karuna Master.

Julie truly believes this combination has allowed her to live a life of purpose and to ensure that she can offer her clients a empathetic and intuitive service , and to help them achieve fast and lasting results, and live a life of purpose too.
